We give financial support to individuals and families during difficult times, which may be the result of sudden or long term illness, unemployment or a change in family circumstances.
We support young people, who are part of the Halesworth community, with the costs associated with work-based training and apprenticeships such as tools and travel costs. We can also help with the costs of extra curricula school activities and equipment for younger family members.
We offer grants to organisations, charities and community groups for specific projects which support people in need and make a positive impact on the well-being of the local community.
We consider applications from people living in Halesworth and occasionally from the surrounding villages such as Holton.

The Halesworth United Charities, is a grant making charity, based in Halesworth in Suffolk. It is an amalgamation of a number of small, ancient ‘poor relief’ charities and derives its income from the rental of land and property owned by the Charity.
Our trustees, who live or work in the Town or nearby, are responsible for the management of the Charity and the consideration of applications for support.
These are assessed throughout the year and we have an annual budget.
Details of our financial history and accounts can be found on the Charity Commission website.
Please visit our 'Apply for a Grant' page to find out more about eligibility and the application process.
